An indeterminate equation is an equation that has more than one solutions. Pell’s equation is one of them that is formed as \(x^2 – Py^2 = 1\).
P cannot be a square number. x and y must be integers. Let’s pick out the following Pell’s equation, \(x^2 – 109y^2 = 1\).
The “minimum” pair of the solutions are:
\(x = 158070671986249\)
\(y = 15140424455100\)
They are huge numbers.
Most of the normal calculators don’t give the answer.
